BSPH Seminar on Gender and Gender-based Violence with Spotlight on Kenya

August 1 at 11:30 am until 1:00 pm

The Johns Hopkins Center for Global Women’s Health and Gender Equity  at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, in collaboration with Kenyatta University Women’s Economic Empowerment Hub and University of Nairobi, will host an in-person seminar on “Current topics in gender equity and gender-based violence: a spotlight on Kenya” on Thursday, August 1.

There will be brief presentations and a discussion with Kenya-based collaborators spanning partners, scholars, and implementers to reflect on research, policy, and progress. Topics include the evolution of GBV policy and practice in Kenya, interventions to prevent violence against women and girls, and recent survey research including technological abuse and help-seeking.
