Meditation Program Info Sessions
January 31 at 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm
The Center for Recreation and Well-being at Hopkins is offering a Transcendental Meditation Program with an application process for students.
Transcendental Meditation (TM) is an evidence-based approach to improve well-being. TM is a simple, natural, effortless technique practiced 20 minutes twice each day while sitting comfortably with the eyes closed. Students who have participated in TM thus far have reported reduced stress, improved sleep, increased creativity and increased. focus among other benefits.
- Interested students must attend an info session on 1/31 at 1PM, 2/1 at 6PM or 2/5 At 7:30 PM (or connect with me in advance)
- Students fill out a very short application which is due 2/6 at noon (takes 5 minutes or less)
- The program formally begins on 2/12 or 2/13 depending their schedule and goes until 4/12.
- All sessions are via zoom except for 2/12 or 2/13 session which will happen at the Fleet Street TM Center for a one-on-one meeting with the TM teacher, scheduled at their convenience.
- This program is valued at more than $500/student and is available at no cost due to a generous donation from a JHU alum.
- Space is limited, but we are prioritizing undergraduates so students should apply ASAP
