Join us for a public lecture on the theme “Refugees and Asylum Policy” by Charlotte Slente and Andrew Selee. This lecture will be on Zoom and is part of the Global Migration and Refugees: Applied Research and Practice Seminar, offered by the Department of Sociology.

Charlotte Slente is the Secretary General of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), where she oversees the organization’s humanitarian efforts in response to both emerging and protracted crises across approximately 40 countries, supported by a team of over 8,000 dedicated staff.

Andrew Selee is the President of the Migration Policy Institute (MPI), a nonpartisan institution that seeks to improve immigration and integration policies through fact-based research, opportunities for learning and dialogue, and the development of new ideas to address complex policy questions.
